Ever the fickle knitting consumer I was quite excited to hear on David's latest podcast about bamboo circular interchangeable needle sets. I am very tempted as they fit into a
Speaking of Bamboo I was impressed by the number of patterns in the new IK Spring collection that used Bamboo yarn. The issue features yarns like Classic Elite Bam Boo, Berroco Bonsai, Austermann Bambou Soft, Tahki Bali, and Alchemy Yarns Bamboo as well as some lovely patterns from designers like Eunny Jang, Norah Gaughan, Joan Mcgowan-Michael and Stefanie Japel. (Don't know about the thong though) I just hope my subscription copy arrives here before next Spring.

And Rowan have just announced thier new collection which includes a very yummy bamboo yarn called (I think) Bamboo Soft. Colours are a bit wussy, but I always say that ;)
Apart from bamboo DPNs, I find bamboo circulars catch the yarn and difficult to move along. I have an UFO still attached and looking very sad on a set of bamboo DPNs =(
glad the markers arrived okay :)
I just listened to David's podcast and I am also keen to find out more about the bamboo interchangables. And interweave - I only got my first (winter) issue last week, and the already had the spring issue up! Hope this one is a little faster too...
Bamboo interchangeables? How exciting! I have an entire set of bamboo DPN's that I couldn't live without so they idea of an interchangeable set sounds great. Having said that, I love my Denise's so I don't think my loyalty will change soon although the small travel size of the bamboo set is definitely appealing.
Podcasts are bad for the credit card, aren't they! Maybe you could try knitting with a thimble to save your poor fingers!
I've used the bamboo yarn from Katie at Live2Knit and it's lovely to work with. I can recommend it. Re: IK's arriving before next Spring...my sentiments exactly.
